Digital Communications Officer
Having grew up in Chester, Joel joined the Royal Air Force in 2014 as a logistics officer. He served across the UK and around the world having completed deployments in Qatar (2017), the Falkland Islands (2018), the UAE (2019), Iraq (2020) and the Ascension Island (2024). Concluding his regular service in the Ministry of Defence Main Building, London, he served in the Private Office of the Minister for the Armed Forces, Luke Pollard MP. Shortly after this role, Joel left regular service to move closer to home and he now lives in Liverpool.
A member of the Labour Party since 2020, his exit from regular service has allowed him engage more in local politics and saw him join Labour Friends of the Forces in 2025. Joel continues his service in the Royal Air Force Reserves and still holds the voluntary position as Secretary of the Royal Air Force Boxing Association.
